About AnTextShare

Our Story

AnTextShare was born out of simple frustration. We realized how often we needed to send a quick text snippet, a link, a piece of code, or a small file from one device to another—say, from a phone to a laptop, or to a colleague sitting across the room.

The existing solutions were terrible. Emailing yourself is cumbersome. Logging into cloud drives takes too long. Using messaging apps requires having the other person's contact info. We wanted an "internet shortcut"—a way to push data into the ether and pull it down instantly somewhere else, without accounts, without logging in, and without friction.

Our Mission

We believe that sharing basic digital information should be as easy as handing a piece of paper to someone. Our mission is to build tools that prioritize:

• Speed: Zero setup required. Paste, generate code, retrieve.
• Anonymity: We don't want your data. No accounts, no emails, no tracking.
• Security: Expiring links ensure your data isn't floating around the web forever. Live Code features utilize direct P2P connections so data never touches our servers.

The Technology

AnTextShare is built using modern web technologies to ensure a seamless experience. We leverage Firebase for our secure, ephemeral database storage, ensuring all standard texts and files are automatically purged after 24 hours.

For our Live Code feature, we utilize WebRTC (via PeerJS). This allows browsers to connect directly to each other. When you type in a live session, the keystrokes are sent directly to your partner's computer, fully encrypted, bypassing central servers entirely.
